New Enemy; Status Effects (v0.14a)
First off, new enemy. A bit hard to see here as he's in his max fiery state, but that blob of fire in the top middle of the screen is the new enemy. He's made of wax and thus a candle.
Very much WIP at the moment. Missing animations, proper attacks, personnel missiles (using generic red missiles), SFX, and proper AI. I thought I might just release him in his current state though, as the final product is taking longer than a normal update period.
Next, I added a status effect system. Currently, very basic (although I don't expect to make it too much more complex), some missiles will apply status effects (currently only Burning and Wet) which have some effect as well as particles to show they are active. Some enemies, like fire enemies, will take increased damage to certain effects, like wet.
Below you can see a group of slimes burning to death...
